Earthquake and Flood Insurance

FLOOD INSURANCE
Coverage that is written separately or added to a property policy by endorsement. Flood is a peril which includes the inundation of normally dry land by the overflow of water from rivers, lakes, or other bodies of water. It includes the accumulation of surface water as well as erosion or undermining of shoreline and mudflow, but not landslide. It is not covered under most policies and is usually written through the National Flood Insurance Program.

EARTHQUAKE INSURANCE
Coverage that is written separately or added to a property policy by endorsement. It insures against loss resulting from damage to buildings and their contents by earthquake, volcanic eruption, or both.
